Recent bank failures are proof of how fragile today’s finance and money system is, and how governments still follow the all too common practice of using our taxpayers’ money to bail banks out. Positive Money Europe’s mission is to redesign this system so that it serves people, communities and the planet. Having a euro with the same properties as cash, but in digital form, is a means by which we can achieve this change!

We will feature an exclusive preview of the second part of a powerful animated map (you can see the first part here!), created by researcher and artist Carlijn Kingma, investigative journalist Thomas Bollen and Professor Martijn Jeroen van der Linden, which depicts the workings and malfunctions of our financial system.

We will continue with a rich discussion of the flaws of this system, and how the digital euro can help solve them, together with our excellent speakers:
